Operation Research Co-op, Strategy and Planning Division (January – May 09)

• Designed & Implemented the NSROM. NSROM is the Norfolk Southern Operations Map, which includes operations on 21,500 route miles in 22 eastern states. NSROM shows topography and traverse routes.

• Develop paradigm for nesting NSROM with within Crew Management Tool, consistent with grid nesting implementation.

• Operation Programming & Coordination (Adobe FLEX, Action Scripts)
  

• Operation Research Business Process Modeling & Redesign

• Decision Support System Product Development Program

• Performing simulation and Implementation of business logic in form of decision support system (Rockwell Automation - Arena Simulation Software)

• Conducting vigorous data analysis and performing software testing on simulations models.

• Developed and write reports for effective and timely analysis.

• Other duties and projects as needed.

Tool Used: Adobe Flex, Arena (Rockwell Automation Tool), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Project.

• Started to work as Supplier-Vendor Relationship Management Coop at Ericsson Inc., January 4, 2009
• Cleared CSSGB certification offered by American Society for Quality.
• Cleared Fall 2009 Semester with a GPA of 3.79 on scale of 4.00.
• Recognized as IEEE Richard E. Merwin Scholar of the year for academic year 2009-10.
• Tech Talk scheduled in Berlin, Germany on “Emotional Intelligence at work please”, May 22, 2009.
• Personal website mohitmalhan.com revamped and launched on April 23, 2009.
• I will be traveling to Krakow, Poland and Berlin – Frankfurt, Germany in Summer 09 along with the UTD delegation for Industrial tour along with UTD Delegation.
• Started to work as an Operation Research Co-Op along with Norfolk Southern Corporation in Atlanta, GA.
• Selected as delegation team member of Management Team traveling to New Delhi as part of Official Alumni relationship building program.
• Attended IEEE Humanitarian workshop jointly organized by United Nations Foundations and IEEE at Boston, MA on October 18, 2009.
• Started to work as an Operation Research Co-Op along with Norfolk Southern Corporation in Atlanta, GA.
